With all of their map information on the NAV CDs. This will cover many areas and cities not currently covered. I don't think they are that expensice, with all 7 CDs for the whole US for $299.

There is no alternative for the BMW NAV system. NavTech also supplies the CDs for almost every other manufacturer, but to their custom specs.
