Would there be import issues around the fact that the non Euro spec rotors were not on the 'certified' platform? Just guessing...


don't know - I've heard that both the BMW attorneys are concerned 'cause they need reliable inspections (guess they can't count on US folks doing that) and that US customers won't like the increased braking noise and pad wear. Porsche ships composite(?) Brembos on thier US cars, and you can legally buy and install the Euro-spec BMW M rotors on US M cars (dealers can even do it), so I imagine it's possible to ship it that way - maybe they have to do more testing for the US government or whatever...
