No one knows, but if the new 5 series is offered as a normal, new 2003 model this fall, they will not immediately have an M5 model with the new body style, and they probably won't continue to produce old-style bodies on M5s with a new-style body on the "lesser" 5 series. Of course, the new 5 series could be delayed for several months, but I doubt it. BMW won't say.
