What's up with the British and the M5. After reading several British mags on the Jaguar Type R vs. the BMW M5, all declared the M5 the winner, but only by a "whisker" or a "hair". Could it be because the Jag is a British car??? Type R, no its not a Honda, but if Honda is smart, there should be a lawsuit coming, even the badge is identical to Honda's type R. The M5 is about .7 seconds faster (4.8 vs. 5.5) one mag listed the M5 at 5.5 0-60, but the admitted that it had a worn-out clutch. They said the Jag's quality is on par with the BMW, what?? Why didn't the Brits mention that the Jag is based on a FORD Taurus, Taurus rear end, Ford built engine, cheap ass plastic interior, stops slower, slower through the slalom, 0-60 and 1/4 mile, yet the Jag only lost by a "whisker"??

The Type R has not motorsport heritage, compared to M Motorsport, but it is less expensive, althought still ugly compared to an M5. They ranked the M5 over the E55, saying the Mercedes interior is cheap compared to the BMW, but when it comes to the Jag, its on par with the BMW???

Can't wait to see U.S press do a comparision, maybe they will be not too bias.
