Has anyone tried a Valentine 1 radar detector and does it work with the 2002 5 series windshields? Is there a problem with false alarms?

I have Valentine 1 and it works just great in my Carbon Black 2002. The only issue I have is finding a better way to plug it in , other than the lighter.
