That there are 2 factories in Bavaria that builds the 3 series and the M3's were build in Regensburg.

5 series (and 7 and (Z)8 series) are build in Dingolfing. Thus the end of E39 means the end of ALL E39 5 series. Don't expect the inventory clearence strategy for the E36 traslate to E39 M5 produce in sync w/ E60. Ain't gonna happen.

One last thing ... YOu will definitely NOT see an M car within the first 2 years of model introduction. All the "keeping w/ the competition aside" That 's how things work w/ BMW. No if ands or buts.
