Digi,

I see your point but I don't beat the piss nor drive the piss out of my car. My M3 had no clutch problems nor did my 325i and i have been driving stick for 20 years. I believe that a car of the quality of an M5 as well as a reputable manufacturer like BMW should have designed in a clutch that would provide 50,000+ miles of wear. It supposedly is a heavy duty unit and BMW always designs the brakes, suspension, and driveline to handle more than the output of the engine. 26,500 miles is too low for clutch replacement even if it is covered under warranty. I paid a lot (as well as a bunch over list) for this car so I expect a lot out of its components......
