Car and Driver was not overly impressed with the new Jag. Even Jag admits that they deliberately didn't build an M5-like car. They said they wanted more "civility" and "refinement" than the M5. Cadillac, on the other hand, is shooting directly at the M5 with the new V8 powered CTS and Lincoln with the McLaren-tuned LS8. When you're the best, everyone guns for you so clearly BMWs competition recognizes that the M5 is the best.
