seriously, i think you may be about right, with $100k being the trading price, at least for the first few months. the big caveat will be the shape the economy's in. if it's anything like it is now (i sure hope not since we're talking a couple of years from now) i think the premiums won't be there. the sticker will almost have to be higher than the e39 as you point out though.

looks like i'll be driving my e39 m5 for a long time....

places there will be some price gouging (uh .. I mean "market pricing"). I'll just stick with my local dealer who NEVER sells above MSRP. There are some around.
