Hi guys, has anyone succesfully changed his/her steering wheel to the '01/'02 model form the '99/'00 one???
I ordered the steering wheel at the dealer, it arrived, but now they claim that due to a different layout of the airbag sensor a total reconversion should be done, this including the steering axle, commands for the 3 sticks (wiper, blinker, steering wheel regulator) and not even so are they sure it will be an exact match (maybe more connectors and control boxes...).
I'm having a hard time to believe that only 1 type of steering wheel can be mounted on a pre-01 M5, but you mihgt know better for sure. Please comment, I have to go to the dealer tomorrow and I'd like to know what to tell them.
Thanks!
Marcelo
