The M3 engine is aclaimed by the world of automotive engine designers/engineers as one of the finest engines yet produced. Achieving more than 100hp per litre....even the M5/Z8 engine has not earned the same level of respect--yet. The M3 engine is a derivative of the same engine used in the E34M5 and has a solid reputation for reliability and performance.....really not a lot new, but more refined engineering from BMW's past...all of this information is public and is available to anyone that can (also?) read....
