related in that on more than one blown engine occasion the dealer has measured the oil levels and found them to be dangerously low, more than 2 qts in some cases. Former Lexus owners who purchase M5's and M3's seem to forget this is a high performance engine which is designed to use some oil under high rev's; they need to regularly monitor engine oil levels and add as necessary. Also, some seem to feel that 10k miles between oil changes is normal. They must all lease their cars.
