I kept my 17" spare. I was told by my mechanic that it's ok to mix a 17" with an 18" in the front but not the rear. When I had a rear flat I had to change the tires 3 times to get the spare in the front, but at least I was able to drive it home with damaging the rear end.

It's not easy being a poor man!!

: Do you use the original spare or do you purchase a matching rim and tire? Just curious
