As saftey goes, the wear bars would be the point at which I would replace the tires. Being a D.O.T approved tire, after 2/32 it is considered "worn out" and a safety problem. AJ

: I have a set of Yoko 008 road race tires that have 2-4 32nds of tread depth left. How far down can I safetly go? Wear bars? almost no tread?
