For getting to and from the strip only ... and NOT to be used for everyday driving, the DOT legal Mickey Thompson "ET Street" is the best tire you can get AFAIK for drag racing. It is essentially a slick with a few grooves on it to make it DOT (barely) legal. I run these on a '57 Bel Air show car and they HOOK! They are NOT a radial, so again ... NOT to be used other than to and from the strip. You'll love 'em! (IMHO)
