If you look further down the board, you will see an extensive post from Eddie (including pictures) on the smartire system.
As far as the valve stem mounted system, that is known as the schafer (sp?) system and it is used mostly on original equiptment pressure systems (ie- C5 vette), but we have not recieved any info or indication that Smartire will be using this type of applicaton.
