Need new wheels & tires! 16"? (archive)

I currently have a 1993 525 (e34/m50) that has some beat-up rims from the previous owner. They are the standard 15" rims. I would like to purchase new wheels when I need tires (coming up soon).

Questions: What is the width of the original wheel?

When I switch to the 16", should I stick to the same width?

What size tire (ya'll are going nuts over the Dunlop SP5000, so that might be the choice)?

Thanks for your help. I really like the MAS Sagitta wheel that just came out. Are you TireRack guys going to carry those?
