Strut tower braces ....... Are they really needed? (archive)

I am putting on H&R race springs, F=2.2in R=1.4in and some Bilstein sports for shocks and struts on a 2000 BMW 323i.

Now, i heard that because i am stiffining the suspension i really need to get some tower braces so i dont screw up the car.

Is this possible ? it seems a bit far fetched to me, but i wanna make sure i am right, and i wont hurt the car any. I plan on taking some real hard turns and really getting on the car. Will i possibly hurt the car if i dont get strut braces ?

Just how much do you think they are "needed" for me to buy?

Thanks
