Karl, the Polaris does fit your E36 chassis car perfectly, but they are being discontinued (that's why they are only $150.00 each), but if you are interested you better get moving, because there are literally only 6 wheels left in stock, and when they're gone, that fittment will be gone too! As far as the Supra 712, the handling will be appropriate for your car, but the RE730 will be much nicer in the dry especially. As far as the 235/40/17 you are perfect there too.
