In Reply to: What sizes can I go to on stock MCoupe rims? posted by Scott N on April 14, 2000 at 14:34:11:

I run 235/40's and 255/40's AVS Sports with absolutely no rub. The car handles great, a huge step up from stock. I have done an autoX and a driving school (the Kumhos are still back ordered which will be my track tire) and am very happy with the tire's handling in the sizes I purchased.

The 255's provide more protection for the rear rims and the slightly lower profile fronts bring my personal car's rake into the proper spec. Rake should be 1/2-3/4 inch when measured at either end of the rocker panel seam and my car was only at 1/4 inch prior to the tires and is now right at 3/4 inch.

A friend of mine runs 235/35's PP S02s with no rub.

Good luck!
: I'm in the market for new tires on my stock rims.
: I DO NOT want to rub anywhere, but want better rim coverage and more stick. I also don't want to roll the lip.

: Will 235/45 and 255/40's fit? I've heard conflicting stories about the fronts.

: Suggestions?
: Thanks folks,
