While I can't comment on the Potenza 730, I do have the HTZRII on my '95 M3 (size 235/40ZR17).

Pros:

Excellent traction in both wet and dry. I recently installed a turbo, and I STILL can't break the tires loose in 1st gear when flooring it at 4000rpm. These tires stick.

Cons:

1) VERY narrow/skinny. The HTZRII was noticeably narrower than the same size Michelin MXX3 that it replaced.
2) too noisy. When new, they were a little noisier than the Michelins, but not much (very tolerable). But now, 1 year later (and 1/2 worn), they howl like crazy. I CAN'T STAND THEM!

Conclusion: while they have great traction, they're very noisy. I won't be buying them again.
