Customer feedback on new Kumho V712s (more) (archive)

For anyone thinking about the new Kumho V712s, here is an email I recieved from a cust that ha purchased them, offering his $.02 on the tires, first impressionbs

dear tire rack;

i recently purchased a set of the Kumho 712's with the intention of running
them on our local solo2 course. i had been running the V-700's last season
but had several people complain of unfair advantages ! those tires so
impressed me that with no hesitation i went back to the Kumho brand , leaving
my long history of BFG use behind.when i did this there was little to no
info. available on the tire as far as its ability or performance were
concerned. well i'd like to let both you and your future prospective parons
know that i'am personally totally satisfied and overwhelmed with the
performance of these tires! the directionality is outstanding both on course
and track and lateral adhesion too was more than expected . they offered very
predictable hold and feel which is everything in any race type usage. also
another driver had this very same idea and was running a set on his car and
also seemed very pleased ,comparing them to the S-02's he ran last season. so
i, we would like to thank you for this outstanding product and deal on such
an incredible performing tire !
