I ordered the new RE730 to replace my SP8080 on my M Coupe. I haven't driven in the rain yet, so I can't comment on that yet. The dry performance isn't that great, reason being that these tires are way too soft for my car, specially in the front. I noticed an improvement in the rear over the SPs, but that's probably because the old rears were in bad shape and I also went with 255 vs 245.

As for the fronts (225), the car feels loose and not as responsive. I tried different pressure and that didn't help. At the autox the car was pushing too much, but my oversteer problem was gone.

The SPs were much stiffer, specially the front ones, but when the rear wore out a little most of the grip was gone which caused more oversteer.

Am I doing something wrong, or are those tires the wrong ones for my car?

They are quiet tires on the road but squeal like pigs on concrete!

Comments?
