Mille Miglia MM11s 17x8.5 on Z3? (archive)

I have a 95 525iT with the MM11s (17x8.5") and 235/45-17 Pirelli P7000 SS tires (great combo, thanks TireRack!)... and I also have a new Z3 2.8 Roadster with stock 16" rims.

I'm interested in upgrading the Z3 to 17" rims (when the tires need replacing), and was wondering if the rims from my 525iT will fit on the Z3 (the rims have the removable hub-centric rings). I'd like to test-drive that rim diameter before plunking down the $$$. So, will they fit?
