: Jamal, I would give the tires a chance to break in before you make your final judgement on them. I often hear the "tread squirming" complaint on our BMW's on every tire from the Pilot sport to Dunlop 9000's and back again. PLease remember that your older worn out tire had much less tread depth (like a worn out pencil eraser) and was much stiffer than any new full tread depth tire including the RE730. For comparison sake imagine a full pencil eraser being your tread block. It would have much more "squirm" just as your tire does now, but as you wear it down it will handle much crisper. Just a thought, as I see this reaction many times every day for various tires. Just my $0.02
: Thanks

My front SPs were like new and the rears had less than 1/2 the tread on them when I went to my first autox event. I did 2 events with the SPs and 2 with the 730s so far. I waited 'til I had over 400 miles on the 730s before autoxing and waited at least til I was passed 100 miles before pushing them to the limit. The last autox event on Sunday I had 1k miles on them. Isn't that enough miles for break-in?

How many miles were on the tires you tested? Did you wait as long as I did?

I hope what you said is true, because there are a few more events I'd like to attend this year, and would like to keep the same tires.

Jamal
