The main advantage off the SP5000 is better handling, quicker turn in response and lateral stability. Both tires are quiet and smooth with great wet weather handling. The Turanza does have a dual rubber compound to reduce the effects of wear on the wet traction. If I can help let me know. Thank you Jim 800-428-8355 ext 364
