: At the top of their various lines, are tires from the top tier mfgrs (ie Michelin, Bridgstone, Pirelli) better than their assumed equivalents from the second tier (as far as brand recognition goes) mfgrs (ie Sumitomo, Kuhmo, Nitto, Falken, etc). Some of the latter offer some interesting tires, and the prices look good. The new Kuhmo tire rack has been pushing in their print ads come to mind. But when compared to some the more legendary first tier tires (S02PP, Pilot sport), are they comparable?

We have received very good feedback on the Kumho tire from our customers that are using the tire. We have not had a chance to drive the tires yet, it is planned for July. The owner of our company has had a chance to put some miles on the tires and he says they are a good handling tire. I don't believe they have the technology of design or rubber compounding the the upper teir tires have. As soon as we test the tires we will post the test results on our web site. If I can help give me a call at 800-428-8355 ext 364 Jim
