But the worst tihng is when companies bill you for tihngs they havent done..or items not sent. it pisses the f outta me. its like stealing my money so they can have it while im not getting anything back.

: I just received a call from The Tire Rack -- unfortunately, I have forgotten the rep's name. He agreed that my order had not been handled well and was helpful and fair in moving me over to another order selection (when I told him I had given up on my original order). Needless to say, I am relieved that the nearly three months of waiting and wondering are almost over, and I have regained some respect for The Tire Rack.

: : I need to vent my frustration with The Tire Rack, so here goes.

: : I placed an order in March for a set of O.Z. Nova wheels and was told that they were on backorder, but they would be in in a few weeks. So I waited, and I continued running on my expensive snow tires (what's a few weeks, anyway?).

: : Several weeks later -- when my new wheels failed to arrive -- I called The Tire Rack to find out what was going on. They told me that it would be another few weeks since the wheels had not yet been shipped from the factory overseas. They said that they didn't have control over when the factory would send them. Well, struck me as being a poor relationship between The Tire Rack and their supplier, but that didn't bother me as much as the fact that they advertised and sold these wheels to me even though they had no idea when they would arrive. They certainly didn't tell me that they would keep putting me off for several months. Ok, that's annoying, I thought, but I'll deal with it. I'll just have to wait a little longer (and continue to run on my snows).

: : Several weeks later (see a pattern here?) I called The Tire Rack again to find out what was going on. They faxed the factory, and the wheels were supposedly en-route overseas and it would be a few more weeks. I was getting more frustrated, but I dealt with it because it would have been outrageous for them to put me off any longer. Plus, they told me they were on their way, so I accepted it.

: : Well, it's now several weeks later, and guess what? It could be several more weeks, or even longer, according to The Tire Rack. Who knows? And do they take any responsibility for the poor bottom line they have been providing to their customer due to a lousy supplier relationship and what seems to be superficial customer service, and do they offer any recompense whatsoever? NO. I even inquired into giving up and switching to some other wheel (supposedly "in-stock"), and they said no, they would not offer a discount.

: : Simply outrageous. I'll be telling my friends and car club about this experience so that they will not have to go through it as well.

: : Mark Edmond
