Frustrating Tire Rack experience (archive)

Just wanted to let the folks at Tire Rack know that I ordered a set of wheels from you and only three of the wheels had the metal rings on them. (The rings make the wheel go on evenly.)
The ring for the fourth wheel's ring was in with the lug bolt bag... BUT of course I got it and it was bent to hell.
The ring could not be ressurected into a functional circle, but if it was able to... it still wouldn't have fit.
It was too big.

Perhaps the Tire Rack has some disgruntled employees working there that tried to put the ring on the wheel, but it didn't fit. Then, they probably threw the ring (bent to shit after they tried fitting a ring that was too big on the wheel) into the lug bolt bag.

I called the Tire Rack this evening and they are overnighting a new ring for me... that is good, but in no way does it correct my situation.

MY CAR IS IN THE GARAGE as we speak on a jackstand. (I no longer have the spare and the factory wheels were previously bent... that's why I ordered these wheels!)

The TireRack offered $30 towards a purchase for my inconvinence... I don't think this is a fair way by any means to repay my misfurtune with these wheels.
The bill for the taxi that I needed to be driven in this evening MUCH exceed $30.

Is there any other compensation I should expect in a situation like this? Or, should I take the hit for Tire Rack's mistake???

By the way, this is the fourth set of wheels I have ordered from the TireRack.

Thanks in advance, please feel free to post replies on board, or Email me.

ANYONE ELSE experienced this problem lately?
