i just got back from my dealer who told me that three of my rims are bent, thanks to the wonderful roads of washington, d.c. so it looks like i'll have to get them refinished, since i can get all 4 refinished for the price of just one new rim. i'm wondering if there are any drawbacks to doing this. does refinishing compromise the structural integrity of the rim, the strength, etc, or if a reputable place does it, will the rim come out just like brand new? needless to say, it's gonna be slow going the next time i drive in d.c.
