I have this one (regular key). After a few weeks of not taking it off, one or more of the tops end up being very hard to get off. I have tried high temp grease to no avail. According to the z3 BBS, this is a common problem.

Oh, yes, and if you have a BMW you need locking BOLTS. Most other cars have nuts, not ours.

: Can anyone recommend a locking lug nut to protect tires and wheels from theft?
: I am familiar with 2 styles from BMW. One uses a spline key that does not look unique -- that is anyone with the same type of key could remove the lug.
: The other uses a regular key to remove a cap that has a 17 mm hex nut underneath. This one seemed difficult to get on and off.
