bought some 215/45-17 pirelli snows for my stock M3 wheels (7.5 F/8.5 R) from tirerack for winter of 99..
was told yadda yadda yadda they'll fit but guess what - nope..
went to 3 of their recommended tire installers and they told me 215's were too narrow for 8.5 rim so they refused to install them..
i called customer service to say i wanted to return them and told them exactly what the 3 recommended installers told me..
i was given a hard time - they finally ended up sending UPS to my house and they took the tires back after much wasted time on phone.
