I placed an order with someone named jim. I was split between the availability of tires for a 17 x 9 rim so i could go two of each (17 x 8) or 4 17 x 8. when they couldnt reach me the next day and left a msg with my brother that the tires were avbailable in 255 size,

i called their 800 #, and whoever picked up, i said, "please order these rims. and tires" jim was busy, but no matter who i spoke too, they felt the need to transfer me to jim. Why woudl they do that? Because theres nothing in it for them if write up my order.
: I feel for you. It seems that everytime I try to do business with Tire Rack they always feel the need to emphasize their incompetence and arrogance. If its not the harassing phone calls from the 3 year old girl that feels the need to confirm your order 80 times yet can't be courteous enough to leave a voicemail message regarding 'their' problem, or the many times I have been quoted prices when ordering multiple items and then having them tell me I am lying about the prices when I call back to place the order. The best one was when a salesman became very hostile with me when I asked if he could do any better on the shipping cost for what came to about a $3k order for tires. I was told to not bother placing the order. I think a lot of this has to do with the way the commission system is set up there. The person that takes the CC # gets the sale, not necessarily the person who writes up the order. So I guess it is not only fuck your co-worker but fuck the customer too. I now use Discount Tire, although the price may be higher at times you get first rate customer service without all of the bullshit associated with Tire Rack.

: Tire Rack: Don't bother to email me, I get enough spam already.
