I have Bridgestone SO2 PP 245/40ZR18 on my 540i. I've only had them for 9000 miles, and the rear tires are wearing out. Yesterday the rear left tire started to develop a strange noise. It turned out it's almost worn through. In the inner edge of the tire, I can almost see the belt underneath.
Is it kind of wear premature? I drive quite aggressively at times, but I have never taken it to the track. I may need to check the camber.
Now I'm looking for something that has a little longer trend life. I'm currently looking at Bridgestone RE730 or Dunlop SP9000. Since I only use the car for street, and my daily commute is only 12 miles surface street, I'm willing to trade maximum performance for some practicality. What do you think of my choice?
Another thing is my front tires still have 1/3 - 1/2 trend left. Should I just replace the rear tires, or all 4 of them?
Thanks for any advice.
