Dear Mathew,

While many customers have put 18" wheels on a 318ti we have not found a case where you could install 18" wheels and tires without some type of modification or living with occasional rubbing. When our sales rep discussed this with you decided to go with a 17" application. You did not seem interested in doing the modifications necessary to make larger wheels and tires fit on your car.

As we discussed on the phone if you had decided to select a different size before driving on the wheels and tires we could have made an exchange. As with most companies we ask that wheels and tires be returned in new condition so they can be offered to another customer. Used products sell for very little by mail order. It seems that individuals have a better experience selling used products directly to others. Many individuals on the bbs have sold products to others for near their initial price.

We did not ask you to take full responsibility for the problem. We did offer you the 18" package at a very reduced price if you chose to sell your 17" wheels and tires. You could have sold the 17”s and purchased the 18” for nearly no cost to you.
The offer still stands.
You made the original choice on size but changed your mind AFTER using the product. We did try to accommodate you but you would take no responsibility for your actions.
Please stop this personal vendetta so we may return to actually helping the people on this board who request it.
“It’s a free country” so you are welcome to continue to voice your opinion in any manner you see fit, and in the way that best represents your personality.
If you wish to discuss this further you can contact me directly.

Mathew is correct about Bavarian Auto. They do know a lot about BMWs and are a great company to deal with. (I feel the same way about The Tire Rack) I have used them for personal non-tire and wheel purchases. In this case, (the fitment of wheels and tires on 318tis) their experience has been different than ours.
