The MM112 weighs 23 lbs in the 17X8. You don't mention what car it is for. If it is a 3 series either size you talk about will fit fine. The 225/45R17 will have a little better ride quality and the 235/40R17 will have a little better handling. If I can help let me know. Thank you Jim 800-428-8355 ext 364
