Need help with noisy wheels. (archive)

I just replaced the original 15" wheels in my 97 528i with a set of 7 spoke 17" wheels (from 99 540i)and the tires came with wheels are Dunlop 2000 235/40ZR17 (more than 60% wear out), Now I am experiencing more noise when driving compared to before (I had new Michelin tires in the old wheels). What do I need to do to fix this problem? New tires, lower springs or else? I already had the car re-aligned the next day. Thanks in advange.
