Well, the old TA R1's were about the best tire that you could get for this application. The built in camber was a real bonus for us E28 owners since getting sufficient negative camber in the front is extremely difficult. Having said this, I never used TA R1's due to their wear characteristics (i.e. just wore out too fast on most applications for my budget). I have ridden in several cars shod with them, their grip was very good until they got worn or too hot when it turned greasy. But again, 5-6 2 day schools and they were very greasy feeling and noticeably worn.

I have had absolutely wonderful experiences with A008rs, fantastic wear, breakin problems, decent traction (not as good as the R1s by any means, but better than most current high performance street tires. The problem is that they are NLA, TireRack sold the last set early last week (I know, I tried to buy a set the day they sold 'em). You may notice my WTB post down the list a ways...

Anyway, the correct action for most E28 owners that are concerned about wear and are used to a tire with more grip and better wear than the A032R is to add some additional negative camber in the front (K-Mac) and buy Kumho VictoRacer or the Toyo R1. Both these tires have gotten decent reviews from the race crowd and have better life than the new g-force R1s.

Pressure depends upon particular tires, suspension mods, and rims. With my A008rs I would run cold 36 front 32 rear on a 16X8 rim.

Hope this is what you were looking for...
