Pleasee suggest something that can clean my wheels safely? I am new to bmw. Have a 528 with premium pkg. Are my wheels coated?

I would recommend soap and water when the wheels are cool. What ever you choose to use on the wheel ask your self before you use it. Would you use it on the hood of the car? If the answer is yes I would say they are OK for the car. There is a couple cleaners that are ok for clear coated wheels that you can use. Try mcguires if you need a cleaner.
