Jimmy, I persoanlly love the look of the larger wheel. On the M3 I changed wheel many times and my last 2, and favorite sets of wheels were 18's. The 18 look nicer and they handle great too. The only unfortunate factor about going to 18's is the price increase, but in my opinion...........it's worth it.
