I was just looking at this! My 325xi AWD Sport will come with 205/50HR-17 all-seasons on 7" rims, not the 7.5" rims you'll be getting (ICK!)

You'll want to compare overall rolling diameters:
325i Sport Package -- 225/45-17 = 634.3 mm
Alternate 17" size -- 205/50-17 = 636.8 mm
Plus One 18" size -- 225/40-18 = 637.2 mm

Anything within 1/3" or so (8.4 mm) is OK, so long as the tires' section width will fit on your rims. For example, I'm told that 235/40-18 *may* rub, depending on section width of the selected tire.


The 325i Sport will have 225/45RW17, these max performance tires will be great during the summer months, but I'll need an allseason from Nov-Mar. What other 17' sizes will work? I really don't want to buy 16' wheels, but I could consider it.
