Jase,
I live in Wisconsin where you never know where you might come across a pot hole and I drive on 235/45-17 & Eibach pros on my everyday driver. No problem rubbing. The handling is much improved and the ride is slightly stiffer. No one has ever complained about the ride. In the winter I use 16" wheels and it's like going back to stock as far as ride. Handeling is still improved over stock.

I live on the central coast. Good roads. Car is used for everday travel. I know each will make for a stiffer ride, but which will give the smoothest ride? 17/8.5 and 225/45/17 will either of them even work without tire rub? 96 328i
