I have started developing slow rim leaks on all 4 of my OEM wheels. When the tires are pulled off the wheels I see the powdercoat or whatever finish is applied, is peeling off in large flakes preventing the tire bead from sealing tightly. Anybody have a guess as to why?
Is the only remedy a complete refinishing of all the wheels even though both exterior sides are fine?
Any recommendations on where to have refinishing done in northeast Ohio or would cost be such that replacing the wheels would make more sense? All suggestions are welcome.
