If you want a lower profile you will need to get bigger wheels especialy if you want to maintain the wheel and fender gap and also maintain the accuracy of your speedo.

Hi,
My 328i(E36) currently is bone stock with the 15" 10 spoke OEM wheels with 205/60/15 Michelin MXV4 allseason tires fitted on. My question is, what if i get a set of new summer tires while using the exisiting rim, making the sidewall more low profile by getting tires with 50-55mm sidewall? Would there be a decrease/increase in wheel space or ride height? Also would it be a good idea to do this or it would be better off to keep it with the 60mm sidewall width?

Thanks
