Agreed with Aaron. They drove really nice & are economical for a max perf. tire, but the wet traction is really where they stand out.

Your comment on the faster lap times is somewhat correct if you closely look at the times- S02s 31.59, AVSs 31.50 dry, but in the wet, S02s 31.65 vs. 32.62 for AVS.

It all really depends on how hard you are going to be driving the car. I had a set of AVS Sports on my 95 M3, but they were not up to the level of dry performance that the S-02's (the tire I'm currently using myself) have. The S-02 is also considerably better in the rain as well. If you would like to chat about ofhter differences, I'd be happy to. Let me know,

In a test with the AVS Sports and S02PP, the test said that in the dry the AVS had better lap times. Comments?
