OK, no flames, please. The Dunlops SP 8000s on my 1985 535i are fine, but I am in the process of ordering a 2001 Lexus RX 300.

My tire questions have to do with the choice of standard tires - all mud and snow tires:

1. Is one of the standard tires that comes with this SUV (Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear) better than the others?
2. Are these true M&S tires, meaning will I get tread squirm, rapid wear, etc., same as I would with other M&S tires, or are these a quasi 4-season tire. If the former, I may consider installing a 4-season tire and mounting the snow tires on steel rims.

Thanks in advance,

Reed
