Question for the Tirerack Guys- 24lbs vs 17lbs (archive)

I've got E36 M3 Contours that are about 23-24lbs. I'm thinking about SSR Integrals which are 17lbs.

How does this weight reduction affect:
1) Handling
2) Performance - Will 0-60 times decrease significantly? By how much?

Also do the 17X9 Integrals have the deep dish affect?
