the '88 325is i recently purchased came wearing 16" falkens on tsw hoc-r's, and the steering feel is much different than my previous e30. i have yet to weigh them to find the exact difference, but that wheel/tire combo is signifigantly heavier feeling than the stock 14" spare. one of my rims is bent and the tires will need to be replaced soon, so i was thinking about starting fresh with a new set of rims & tires.

though it's hard to find ultra-high performance tires for 15" applications, i've been thinking about getting a set for the weight reduction (luckily, there's a 15" potenza re730 fitment for my car). one of the problems i've found though is that there seems to be a very limited selection of aftermarket wheels for e30's.

the kosei racing rims offered through the tire rack are a terrific compromize of weight and price, but i'm not impressed with they way they look. companies like kosei and rota wheels offer a number of light, sharp looking wheels... but i've had a hard time finding stores who carry them at all, let alone fittments for older bmw's.

so i need some advice - should i go with 15" or 16"? are there any terrific (and affordable) rims for E30's that i've overlooked?

thanks,
- ian
