Different manufacturers have different ideas
of what 35mm offset is :-) That's cutting it
pretty close on a 16x7 wheel and may cause the
inner sidewall or even the wheel's inner rim
edge to rub the strut tube up front. Some may
fit, but some may be a mm or two off. You'd
have to mount the naked wheel to the car and
check the gap between the inner edge and the
strut tube to be sure. 35mm is pushing it.
Here's how close my ET27 15x7 Kosei K1 comes to
my 325is strut tube. A 16" diameter allows a
little more offset due to the way the strut
angles away from the tire the farther up you
go, but this 15" will give you an idea of how
close things can get with too much offset.
You don't want the gap to be any less than
this is.
