Is there such a beast? Perhaps an aftermarket wheel. Needs an offset around 28mm. Used GTI 14" rims before, with spacers, now I'm in the market of new tires thought I'd think I'd gp to larger rims

Many of the 15x6 aftermarket wheels made for the
75-92 A1 and A2 Volkswagens used to fit the 2002
perfectly. These pre-92 VWs used less offset than
the later 93+ VWs, so the earlier wheels were
more likely to have a suitable offset. The newer
cars had 7mm more offset than the earlier cars.
Measure the actual backspace of your stock wheels
than just make sure any VW or BMW wheels have
about the same backspace or close enough to it
that they don't rub the struts.
